About him

Jader Rubini is 22 years old and lives in the lovely city of Ipatinga, Brazil (from where he wishes to move as soon as possible) São Paulo. He’s in the last period of the Advertising college and doesn’t know if he likes more the design or the advertising. This is why his conclusion paper is about the role of the interaction design in the online advertising. “On doubt, choose both”. Smart, huh?

In his idle time (which is hardly ever), he likes to play his Les Paul guitar, listen to his favorite bands’ songs, watch TV series and to read a good book (not necessarily in that order).

Oh, and he likes to speak about himself in the third person.

Design

Jader’s interest in design started back in 2002. Since then he started to read articles all over the web and magazines about design and related fields like usability, accessibility, information architecture, and, most recently, interaction design and user experience. He’s passionate about minimalism, typography, grid systems and the gold section.

He thinks that the design has an important role in the process of communication: it bridges the gap between the message and its receptor, so it has high impact in how the people will receive the message and – most importantly – how they’ll react to the message.

Crafting great-looking yet simple, intuitive and usable interfaces is his mantra.

Advertising

Jader is the type of guy that sticks in front of the TV just to see good ads (and to criticize the bad ones). His first interest in the advertising field was the art direction – because he was already familiar to most of the design techniques and concepts – but as the days go by he’s getting more interested in copywriting.

His references and influences in the creative process are everything, everywhere: from books he have read to magazines and the everyday things to his heroes in advertising.
